Sunset Indoor Pool

This indoor Endless Pool was the answer to a families’ needs. Water therapy offers an amazing array of health benefits, and when you have a child who has special needs for therapy, they are all the more important. Doug and Christina, long time clients, approached us with their thoughts on an indoor pool during the pandemic, when their son’s therapy was suspended due to closures.

A small addition was added to the home, next to the existing sunroom. The pool is accessed through the sunroom or from stairs leading from the garage. A split level home design enabled easy access to pool equipment from the garage. Folding the stairs away, met the code for safety to a pool entrance.

Although the therapeutic needs of their son spurred their decision to have year round pool access, this project quickly became a source of excitement for all three children and their parents. Everyone could enjoy floating with pool noodles and the exercise of swimming laps with the Endless Pool current options.

Fun for all and a girl with a vision….

The property backs up to a golf course with beautiful sunsets. The family’s daughter envisioned the walls of the pool room painted to mimic the sunset views that they all loved. Katie DuBree of katiedubreedesigns.com worked with the family to choose the colors for the walls and together they planned the orange glow of the sun to set on the west corner of the room.

The most wonderful result for us, at Creative Contracting, is seeing a loving family share in planning a special place where fun is the ultimate exercise.
